Your new HMI communicates seamlessly to ProcessSuite® or InSight HMI™ tag-servers.  This lets you convert an individual client, providing time to the operations team for system familiarization.  You can connect the InSight HMI™ client and historian to your existing unmodified ProcessSuite® HMI system.  You control the HMI migration on your schedule and you can convert clients and servers without process interruptions.

Multi-tasking features:  InSight HMI™ provides support for multiple faceplates of the same type on a graphic display and auto configuring navigational commands.

InSight HMI™ has built-in messaging capabilities for relaying information to operators, as well as a built-in, web-based reporting and display functionality.

The InSight HMI™ tag-servers are populated using the standard APACS® ProcessSuite® database automation tools.

The InSight HMI™Historian accesses the DCS redundantly, through dual tag-server architecture, thus eliminating the need for control system data highway cards and I/O servers in the historian. Additionally, the InSight HMI™Historian can be updated without system shutdown.  The existing historian function can’t do this, which leaves critical gaps in your historical data files.  Web-based access is provided to trend and historical information, based on security levels.  This access is available as interactive data access for some users and read-only data access for others.

Right-click functionality provides access to critical alarms more quickly.

Future plans include a next generation InSight HMI™tag-server that will be object-based and built on Wonderware’s Industrial Application Server.  Also, the InSight HMI™will have support for late model IEC 61131 compliant control systems.  This feature will allow you to add to or replace outdated control hardware, while keeping your Wonderware-based HMI.  This significantly reduces maintenance costs, plant interruptions, and re-training issues for plant personnel.
